Heal Our Land

September 26, 2009 - One of the most unfortunate day for the Filipinos, when typhoon "Ondoy",(International Name: Ketsana) strikes different part of the Philippines and destroy lives and properties of the filipino people. The government has confirmed a total of 240 people dead and nearly 40 people still missing following devastating floods and landslides in Luzon caused by tropical storm Ondoy. The cost of damages to property and crops by Ondoy has also risen to P2.33 billion, the NDCC added.

Metro Manila and Rizal Province are few from those severely affected by the typhoon. Mayor Rafael Tanjuatco of Tanay, Rizal on Tuesday appealed anew for further aid assistance to his municipality as relief goods are starting to run out. On his interview, Tanjuatco said at least 800 families are now staying in eight evacuation centers in the town and it was reported that 32 people died and 25 are still missing. While in Antipolo City, death toll reaches 22 because of the flashflood and the landslide during the typhoon Ondoy.

The classes in NCR including Marikina and Rizal Province were still suspended. There are also no color coding for the vehicles until Friday.

For those victims, don't loose hope. God is always there to guide and help us, just do your best and God will do the rest for us. For those fortunate who are not severly damaged by the typhoon, let's pray to our God to heal our Land, this is the best way we can do to help our filipino people who lost lives and properties.

Interment of Bro. Eranio G. Manalo

Today, September 7, 2009 at 12:00 pm, is the interment day of the late Bro. Eranio G. Manalo, Executive Minister of the Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo). His remain was temporary laid at the INC Tabernacle located near the Central Temple, while waiting for the construction of the mausoleum to which his remains will be transfered. The said mausoleum will be built near the monument of the late Brother Felix Manalo (first executive Minister of INC).

The funeral will be headed by the families,relatives, officers of INC and INC ministers from different part of the world.

It was also officially declared by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, that September 7 was Special Non Working Holiday in the Philippines to give way the interment of Bro. Eranio G. Manalo.

Millions of INC members from different part of the world attended from the wake to the funeral day of Bro. Manalo. Heavy rains is not hindrance for them to see Bro. Manalo up to the last minute.
